2022 Black Kite Cellars Roberts Road Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast

Established in 1999, this vineyard is nestled at the base of Sonoma Mountain on an ancient creek bed, just a stone’s throw from Gap’s Crown Vineyard. With its rich alluvial soils and proximity to the cooling fog, the site provides an ideal environment for Pinot Noir, ensuring a long and even growing season.

The 2022 Roberts Road Vineyard Pinot Noir boasts a vivid garnet hue and offers captivating aromas of wild boysenberry, cola, and dried dark florals. On the palate, this wine reveals bold expressions of sun-ripened cherries, red plum, and wild strawberry, complemented by warming spices such as clove, nutmeg, and cardamom. The texture is broad and deep, with soft tannins contributing to its elegance and a long, lingering finish. Enjoy it upon release or cellar it for up to 10 years.
