2022 Black Kite Cellars Jasper Freestone Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast

Our third bottling from our new estate vineyard in historic Freestone, captures the essence of this windswept region just seven miles from the Pacific Ocean. This coastal location provides an ideal environment for cultivating expressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. On the nose, the wine is remarkably vibrant, offering aromas of Bing cherries, clove, and brown spices. Hints of purple florals and sweet pipe tobacco enhance the bouquet. The palate is richly layered with flavors of boysenberry, raspberry, and pomegranate, delivering a mouth-filling weight and depth that belie the vineyard’s youth. The finish is long and concentrated, showcasing dark berry notes and a touch of sweet vanilla. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 7-9 years.
